1. The Core Philosophy: Data Sovereignty

WhatNext is built as a local-first application. Unlike traditional recommendation apps, we do not require accounts, and we do not store your taste profile or ratings on our servers. Your taste profile, ratings, and watchlist belong to you, exist only on your device, and stay under your absolute control.

2. Information Collection and Use

The Service Provider (Malachi Nelson) does not collect, see, or sell your ratings, watchlist, or taste profile data.

3. Third-Party Services

WhatNext uses the following third-party providers. Each has their own privacy policy governing their data practices:

The Service Provider does not receive your payment details. All billing is handled directly by Apple or Google.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

We cannot delete your data because we do not have it.

5. Security

WhatNext protects your taste data by ensuring your taste profile, ratings, and watchlist never leave your device, eliminating the risk of server-side data breaches. We recommend using your device's native biometric locks (Face ID, Touch ID, or Passcode) to secure physical access to your device.

6. Children's Privacy

WhatNext does not knowingly collect any data from children under 13. As the Application collects no personal data from any user regardless of age, this protection is built into the architecture of the product.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect new features or legal requirements. However, our commitment to keeping your taste profile and ratings exclusively on your device is a core principle that will not change.
